DermatoPoietin® Hair Protection System Serum Day 1-4

What it is and what it does
Serum Day 1–4 is an aqueous gel containing as main actives Dermatopoietin® and Hexadeltine®. It inhibits hair shedding and vitalizes hair in general.
Hair growth is cyclic: healthy hair follicles grow hair during several years (anagen phase) before passing a short transition phase (catagen phase) to enter telogen phase. During the telogen phase, which lasts about 3 months, the hair follicles shrink. This phase is followed by a short exogen phase during which old hair is shed. Afterwards the follicles progress again to the anagen phase supporting growth of new hair.
Excessive hair loss is usually due to a shortening of the anagen phase by which more follicles than usual enter exogen phase with concomitant loss of hair.
Experimental studies have shown that Dermatopoietin® (interleukin-1 alpha) induces in hair follicles the synthesis of anagen growth factors as well as a protease inhibitor preventing hair shedding.
Dermatological studies performed by independent investigators have confirmed that Serum Day 1-4 significantly reduces hair shedding. In most cases the effect lasted several months. In some cases increased hair growth in subjects with alopecia, especially women, has been observed after repeated application of DermatoPoietin® Hair Protection System.

How to apply Hair Protection Serum Day 1-4 is applied onto the dry scalp in the evening on four consecutive days. For one application 3 - 4 ml are needed. This volume corresponds to about 15 pump strokes. Massage the Serum gently into your skin. Leave it on overnight. If necessary, wash your hair the next morning with a mild shampoo. To continue treatment use Serum Day 5-15 for the following 10 days. One full application cycle of Hair Protection System lasts 14 days. Optimum results are achieved after two subsequent cycles, i.e. by applying both products in turn during one month. If excessive hair loss starts again, repeat treatment as required. It is not recommended to combine the application of Serum Day 1-4 with other recognized treatments of hair loss or alopecia except nutritional interventions for healthy hair based on vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids or herbal extracts. |
